Cragganmore CRAGGANMORE 1989 27yo Joint Bottling for The Mash Tun Tokyo & Club Qing 48.7%, one of 160 bottles, Sherry Cask
Bottle #クラガンモア(CRAGGANMORE)
A pleasant Cragganmore with sherry. Cragganmore CRAGGANMORE 1989 27yo Joint Bottling for The Mash Tun Tokyo & Club Qing 48.7%, one of 160 bottles, Sherry Cask The aroma is a pleasant sherry with notes of ripe plums, red-fleshed melon, grape skins, chocolate, black treacle, herbs, and toasted barley. When drinking, it has a smooth and gentle mouthfeel with the sweetness of plum jam, a moderate bitterness from bitter chocolate and herbs that adds depth. The long-lasting aftertaste is rich, full-bodied, and free of unpleasantness. [Good/Very Good] This Cragganmore 1989, aged for 27 years, was bottled by The Mash Tun from Setagaya and Club Qing from Hong Kong. It is rare for Cragganmore to be matured in a sherry cask, and the color is quite dark. It gives a tannic sensation reminiscent of ripe plums, melons, and grape skins, with a good balance between fruity sweetness and bitterness that gives depth. A well-balanced sherry-style malt with a fine choice indeed.
