Bottle #カリラ(CAOL ILA)
The first release of the nostalgic 'Dance' series, I found it more delicious than before. Caol Ila CAOL ILA 1990-2007 17yo THREE RIVERS 'DANCE' #2612 58.1% One of 289 bottles, Refill Hogshead The aroma has a strong peat with some seaweed and metallic notes, rich apricot tea, robust barley, sea breeze, and rich oak. When drinking, it starts with a surprisingly smooth attack that turns spicy, with honey-like sweetness, thickness, a punch of peat, fish stock, slightly oily and long finish. [Good/Very Good] Three Rivers released this Caol Ila 1990, aged for 17 years in 2007. I think this was the first release of the popular series 'Dance' that continues to this day. It had a noticeable metallic note, but for Caol Ila, it has a solid seaweed character, and the aroma with fruitiness gives a sense of thickness. It was a powerful and flavorful Islay malt. From the time of release, it has been over 8 years. I bought one when it was released and drank it at home, but it felt more refined and deeper than before, which made it delicious. I usually don't buy multiple bottles, but back then the tendency was more pronounced. It's pleasant to meet again with a bottle I once had and now feel the change.
