Enjoyed the unchanged deliciousness.
Lagavulin LAGAVULIN 1991-2015 OB Feis Ile 2015 Triple Matured 59.9%
One of 3500 bottles
The aroma features apricot jam, tree sap, refined katsuobushi dashi (a Japanese fish stock), pleasant barley notes, dry nuts, sea breeze, and a rich, iodine-rich peat.
On the palate, it expands with a slightly viscous texture, powerful and slightly spicy notes of apricot jam, nuts, umami-rich barley, and savory seafood dashi. It offers a sweet oak finish with a strong peat character and a rich, long-lasting aftertaste.
【Very Good】
Bottled for the 2015 Islay Festival, this Lagavulin 1991 is triple matured but retains a natural and complex house style without added flavorings, just like the previous release. While some malts change slightly after bottling, this bottle remained almost identical to last year's memory. Impressive work by Diageo, with careful filtering and casking ensuring a stable product from the start.
