GlenGrant GLENGRANT 1992-2008 OB CELLAR RESERVE 46%
The aroma features fresh orange and vanilla, a solid malty note, faint pear, solvent-like oak, and light cream.
From a gentle mouthfeel comes a gradual spicy pepperiness, orange and light cream, a sweet, mellow sweetness with citrus acidity, a decent amount of bitterness and depth from the oak, resulting in a well-balanced flavor.
【Good/Very Good】
This is a bottle from the Official Cellar Collection of GlenGrant 1992, and it's a watered-down type aged for approximately 16 years.
It has aromas of vanilla and orange, which are likely from bourbon casks, and there was a solid oak presence.
As expected for a watered-down whisky, the flavor is gentle. While there was a slight hint of bitterness from the oak barrel characteristics, it also contributed to the depth, and the drinkability was hardly affected.
It was a good starter for the day.
