Aultmore ALTMORE 1992-2014 21yo Scotch Malt - Distilleries Collection 49.2% The aroma has a good grain note, ripe citrus, vanilla, butter, coconut cookie, faintly pear, honey. Upon drinking, it has a surprisingly smooth mouthfeel, gentle expansion, and a rich sweetness of ripe oranges and honey, with a variety of fruits such as pears. It also has nuances of orange oil and coconut, with a long finish. [Good/Very Good] From the Distilleries Collection by Scotch Malt Sales, Aultmore 1992, aged for 21 years. The aroma features ripe citrus fruits and a good grain note, with slightly oily nuances reminiscent of coconut cookies. When tasted, it has a smooth mouthfeel and gentle expansion. The rich sweetness of honey and fruits was very impressive, with slightly oily characteristics and a long finish. In both aroma and flavor, it has more aging character than the actual maturation period, and during tasting, a variety of elements were detected. Among recent new releases, this bottle was particularly good.
