Bottle #ラフロイグ(LAPHROAIG)
Among recent Laphroaig bottlings, this bottle stood out for its pronounced fruitiness. Laphroaig LAPHROAIG 1993-2010 17yo DUN EIDEANN for Shinanoya #5187 44.6% One of 120 bottles The aroma is lavish and strong, with concentrated grapefruit, powdered cheese, prosciutto melon, white flowers, slightly charred strong peat, smoke, dry grain sensation. Upon drinking, it starts with a soft mouthfeel that gradually expands, with concentrated citrus texture and some chewiness. Strong grapefruit, cheese, citrus acidity and sweetness, slightly charred peat, smoke, and a fruity & smoky finish that is not overly long. 【Very Good】 Dun Eideann's Laphroaig 1993, 17-year-old cask strength bottling for Shinanoya. The aroma is immediately fruity and lavish, with concentrated citrus, powdered cheese, prosciutto melon, etc., reminiscent of the classic fruity Laphroaig. Of course, there is the typical Islay peat and smoke, but the fruitiness clearly dominates. Upon tasting, it starts with a soft mouthfeel that gradually expands, and the concentrated citrus is strong, giving a sense of chewiness. While it may lack some power as a non-long-aged cask strength Islay, the intensely concentrated fruity character is outstanding, with good balance of sweetness and acidity. I found it very delicious.
