A recent good sherry cask from the GlenDronach. GlenDronach GLENDRONACH 1993-2014 21yo OB HAND-FILLED 58.6% one of 474 bottles, SHERRY BUTT The aroma has a strong recent sherry influence with notes of black sugar, caramel, coffee, bitter chocolate, dried fruits, herbs, clove, toasted grain, and slightly raw wood. Upon drinking, it starts with a smooth mouthfeel expanding into rich berry jam sweetness, good acidity, and strong woody characteristics with solid tannins that deepen the flavor. The finish is long and jam-like. 【Good/Very Good】 Bottled in May 2014, GlenDronach 1993, 21 years old. This is a hand-filled bottling done at the distillery. The aroma shows strong sherry influence, with fruity dried fruit notes, hints of black sugar, caramel, coffee, and a grainy, slightly raw woody character. Upon drinking, it is not as strong for its alcohol content and still has a strong sherry character. The berry jam, its rich sweetness, and good acidity come through, although the woody and tannic elements are a bit strong. It has depth of flavor with a long finish. There was a slightly woody nose, but overall it is very rich and satisfying, a good sherry cask GlenDronach.
