Upon drinking, it offered orange, ripe apricot, vanilla, a rich honey sweetness, and some woody tannins from the oak. [Good] This is a single cask Longmorn 1993, aged for 21 years, from Douglas Laing Old Particular. It was a malt that showcased oak with some orange, vanilla, green apple notes and a slightly rougher, more rustic edge often found in recent Speyside bourbon casks. While the oaky character felt slightly rough, the rich sweetness and overall elegant atmosphere were not bad.
