A very good Lagavulin with rich sherry notes. Lagavulin LAGGAN MILL (LAGAVULIN) 1994-2007 13yo Coopers Choice 56.6% The aroma is good sherry, ripe plums, dried fruits, mixed berries, nuts, strong peat, earthy root vegetables, rich, rough, when drunk it has a thick jam sweetness, a pleasant tannic note, nuts, chewy texture, rich, peaty and powerful long finish. [Good/Very Good] Lagavulin 1994, 13 years old bottled by Coopers Choice in 2007. The content seems to be Lagavulin. As a recent sherry cask, it does not have the artificial or unpleasant aroma and flavor that is often found. It has a slightly youthful, rustic root vegetable-like quality but also has a rich fruity character, with good balance between the thick sweetness and tannic notes. It is a very rich, powerful bottle with a satisfying drinking experience. A satisfying sherry cask Islay malt.
