It has a fragrant, slightly creamy aroma typical of good bourbon cask Speyside malts. The assertive savory barley and rich oak were noticeable.
Upon drinking, the initial notes of orange, cream, and vanilla are evident, followed by intense barley umami and honey's rich sweetness. The oak and orange oil deepen the flavor, creating a rich taste without any raw woodiness—a high-level quality.
While slightly creamy, it's not particularly unique but is a well-crafted bottle representative of recent good bourbon cask Speyside malts.
