When drinking it, the spicy and powerful mouthfeel is slightly tingling, with vanilla, rich barley and its umami, sweet honey-like richness, oak and light tannins that deepen the flavor. The finish is plain and pleasant. 【Good/Very Good】 Number 55 from SMWS = New release of Royal Brackla's 1994, 20-year-old whisky. Not much fruitiness comes through, but it has a well-balanced cask character. It showed the straightforward and well-matured form of whisky made from barley. It has a slightly roughness, but I quite like this type. When opening at home, it's easy to drink a lot of it quietly. Perhaps the best time to drink is after it has settled slightly after uncorking.
