[Good/Very Good]
This is an official new release of GlenDronach 1995, matured for 19 years, bottled for La Maison du Whisky in France. Following the previous Oloroso Sherry Cask 2003, this Oloroso Sherry Butt 1995 was also released. This is a well-matured type with rich sherry characteristics, featuring elements like dried fruits, fruit jams, chocolate, herbs, and spices such as cinnamon. While the barley character remains, it has a toasty quality. The balance between the thick jam sweetness and tannins is good, offering a rich and long finish. In contrast to the 2003 Oloroso Sherry Cask, which was described as lightly soaked, this one is thoroughly matured. It showcases the delicious sherry cask style typical of recent GlenDronach releases.
