The aroma is elegant with notes of orange, light peach, vanilla, a touch of nut cream, good grain character, and a subtle new oak influence. On the palate, it starts with a soft mouthfeel that expands gently into orange, light pear and pineapple, vanilla, and a honeyed sweetness with some depth. The oak tannins add complexity to the flavor.

This is an official Arran 1996, 17-year-old single cask bottling released last year. The bottle was purchased in Scotland, and it seems that it did not enter Japan.
It has a floral aroma typical of recent bourbon casks, with good fruit and grain notes. However, the new oak influence was somewhat restrained.
On the palate, it is a very smooth Arran with a strong fruity sweetness that includes tropical elements. Although the body is not heavy, it has depth and an enjoyable drinking experience.
