The natural deliciousness was good. Dalmore DALMORE 1996-2014 17yo DOUGLAS LAING OLD PARTICULAR for JIS #DL10093 54.8% one of 120 bottles, refill hogshead The aroma has a young and strong barley note, ginger, vanilla, citrus. When drinking, the attack is unexpectedly not strong, with citrus, faint pear, good barley umami, and strong ginger similar to the aroma. Straightforwardly delicious. 【Good/Very Good】 From Douglas Laing's Old Particular, this Dalmore 1996, 17-year-old cask strength bottling was produced for Japan Import System. Originally a watered-down series, this one is bottled at cask strength. It has a relatively youthful aroma with bourbon barrel nuances like ginger, vanilla, and citrus. When drinking, the strength is not overly stimulating, with citrus and ginger alongside barley umami. While not complex or deep in flavor, it was a natural and straightforwardly delicious malt.
