Aberfeldy ABERFELDY 1996-2013 OB for W Club & Whisky Shop Edinburgh Team #6814 61.5%
Bottle #アバフェルディ(ABERFELDY)
A richly appealing Aberfeldy, it's delicious. Aberfeldy ABERFELDY 1996-2013 OB for W Club & Whisky Shop Edinburgh Team #6814 61.5% The aroma features strong honey, orange, apple, vanilla, a pronounced yet pleasant malty note, custard cream, a slightly green vegetal quality. Upon drinking, there's a gradual build-up of sweetness from the robust honey, a chewy malty umami, and a faint vegetal nuance, leaving a long finish. 【Very Good】 This is an official Aberfeldy 1996-2013 single cask bottling intended for local liquor stores. From the first whiff, the characteristic Aberfeldy honey notes are strongly present, with clear fruitiness from citrus and a solid malty presence. The custard and vegetal elements were also notable. Tasting it, the rich honey sweetness is very pleasant, and the malty notes are well-balanced with a satisfying depth of flavor. While not a complex malt, it's a very tasty Aberfeldy that strongly reflects the house style. It's quite similar to the honey-labeled festival bottling of Aberfeldy, though this one feels slightly more angular in comparison. Such Aberfeldy single cask bottlings, despite their specifications, tend to be quite expensive. This one, sourced locally, costs around 30,000 yen. While the content is impressive, it does make one hesitate slightly. Bottles like this, which offer an easy-to-enjoy deliciousness rather than a complex flavor journey, make me want to drink them heartily without guilt. (Laugh) #Aberfeldy (ABERFELDY)
