Arran ISLE OF ARRAN 1997-2014 17yo OB for WHISKY LIVE TOKYO 2014 #1997/515 48.0% One of 228 bottles, SHERRY HOGSHEAD Aroma: Ripe orange, pineapple, plum, soft barley notes, nuts, oak, rich, smooth on the palate with tropical sensations of ripe orange and pineapple, subtle peach, fruity sweetness with a slightly sticky texture, slight vitamin-like chemical sensation, and a rich fruity finish. [Good/Very Good] A single cask Arran 1997, aged for 17 years, bottled specifically for this year's event. The aroma strongly features a diverse range of fully matured fruits like orange, pineapple, and plum. Upon tasting, I perceived even stronger tropical elements and peach-like fruits than the aroma suggested. A richly viscous flavor with a slightly chemical-like vitamin sensation, but it remained a rich fruity Arran until the finish.
