Westport WESTPORT (GLENMORANGIE) 1997-2014 BBR for La Maison du Whisky #3291 55.4%
Bottle #グレンモーレンジ(GLENMORANGIE)
Already a deliciously matured malt. Westport WESTPORT (GLENMORANGIE) 1997-2014 BBR for La Maison du Whisky #3291 55.4% The aroma has a fresh citrus note, with vanilla, a pleasant malty character, honey and light cream, subtle coconut, and a moderate oakiness. On the palate, it's slightly spicy with orange, apple, vanilla, a savory malty character, sweet honeyed richness, and light oak tannins that deepen the flavor, with a long oily finish. 【Good/Very Good】 This Westport-labeled bottle was bottled by BBR in 2014 for La Maison du Whisky. The contents are a Glenmorangie (so-called 'teaspoon malt') from 1997, matured for approximately 17 years. With notes of orange and vanilla, it has a slight creaminess and effectively showcases oak. It's a straightforwardly delicious malt with the typical Glenmorangie character of high-quality bourbon cask influence. While bourbon barrels can sometimes impart a raw or woody edge when overly tight, this one avoids that entirely, offering an exceptionally smooth drinking experience. Though I've enjoyed various Westport-labeled Morangie bottlings, this one is truly exceptional - a highly accomplished bottle that justifies its status as a Maison-exclusive release with its high average quality. #Glenmorangie (GLENMORANGIE)
