On the palate, it has a soft mouthfeel, some chemical notes of pineapple, gentle caramel and orange, a rich sweetness balanced by woody depth, a soft barley character, light-bodied with a lingering finish. This release includes two sherry hogsheads; the one with a less intense color is this bottle. It showcases a well-expressed sherry character typical of Arran's sherry casks, with gentle sweetness in the plum and chocolate notes, along with a noticeable barley character. On tasting, it offers pineapple-like nuances often associated with bourbon cask Arrans, while the sherry fruitiness from the nose remains more subdued.
