Laphroaig 1998 12 Year Old for Bar Metro

Laphroaig LAPHROAIG 1998-2011 12 Year Old BAR METORO 46%, one of 120 bottles
Bottle #ラフロイグ(LAPHROAIG)
It was a good, traditional Laphroaig. Laphroaig LAPHROAIG 1998-2011 12 Year Old BAR METORO 46% one of 120 bottles The nose is floral, with grapefruit, white wine, apricot jam from the depths, a sense of concentration, nuts, and a strong peat with iodine. Upon drinking, it has a stronger attack than its alcohol content suggests, with a slightly concentrated sweetness and acidity of citrus and grapefruit, root vegetables, barley, and a subtle umami of cheese, along with strong peat containing iodine. The finish is long. 【Good/Very Good】 This is a Laphroaig 1998, 12-year-old cask strength bottled for Bar Metro in Italy. The aroma is elegant, with clear fruitiness of Laphroaig's refill cask style such as grapefruit and white grapes. From the depths, a faint hint of apricot-like notes typical of official bottlings was detected. While not feeling powdery or chewy, it has a sense of concentration. The Laphroaig-like peat with iodine was sufficiently felt. It slightly feels young, but due to dilution, there is no roughness and it's a well-crafted bottle overall.
