Bottle #アードベッグ(ARDBEG)
It lacks complexity but feels straightforward and delicious. Ardbeg ARDBEG 1998-2006 OB 'Still Young' 56.2% The aroma is fresh, with citrus, white flowers, young malt, sharp peat, and smoke. The mouthfeel starts unexpectedly mild but expands powerfully with citrus, its fresh sweet-sour flavor, and sharp peat that lingers long. [Good/Very Good] Ardbeg's official bottling, Still Young. From its reopening in 1998 to the 10-year Renaissance, approximately 7 years of Very Young, about 8 years of Still Young, and around 9 years of Almost There were released. This time, we received Still Young. The aroma featured fresh citrus, floral notes, youthful barley, and sharp peat-smoke, conveying a sense of youth with a pleasant freshness. Upon tasting, it showed less prickliness for a young cask strength, with fresh citrus taking the lead and its sweet-sour flavor making an impression. While lacking complexity, it is a straightforward, peaty young malt without any off-putting elements. At the time of release, I assumed only well-crafted casks were selected for bottling. However, after some time since bottling, it seemed even smoother and more drinkable.
