When drinking, it starts with a soft mouthfeel expanding into the same grapefruit and tropical elements as the aroma, pleasant barley sensation and seafood dashi, citrus sweetness and acidity, with a solid saltiness, peaty and long finish. From the start, the bottler-like fruity sensation of guava and grapefruit is clearly felt, while the seawater-like nuance, iodine, and smoke typical of Islay malt strongly assert themselves.
