[Good/Very Good] This is a single cask from the Pulteney distillery, hand bottled as the latest #1408. The aroma features strong honey, orange oil, barley notes, coconut, custard, and other elements. While not complex, each component is clearly present. The taste is equally strong, with a rich sweetness and tightening oak tannins, characteristic saltiness, and a long, well-balanced finish. Although not rare anymore, it offers a pleasant bourbon cask combined with the Pulteney style. A recent malt aged 14 years from a 2000 distillation, it was well-crafted. Truly a special cask from Pulteney.
