Bottle #アイルオブアラン(ISLE OF ARRAN)
The cask influence was well-balanced and the finish was good. Arran ISLE OF ARRAN 2000-2016 16 Year Old Official Bottling for Scotch Malt Sales 53.7% one of 244 bottles, Sherry Hogshead The aroma features orange cream, apricot jam, faint vanilla, slightly charred barley, and a touch of cinnamon. Upon drinking, it starts with a gentle mouthfeel, then gradually becomes spicy, with pineapple, orange oil, a youthful yet mellow barley note, a hint of sesame oil, oak, moderate sweetness, and the finish is not long but clean. 【Good/Very Good】 Selected by Scotch Malt Sales, this is an official single cask Arran 2000 aged for 16 years. The malt exhibits a fruitiness and barley character that feels like it has undergone extended aging, with a moderate cask influence. Although it is a sherry cask, the fruit notes often remind one of bourbon-like pineapple characteristics typical of Arran. The flavor is gentle, with some oak spiciness but nothing overwhelming. Even though it's a single cask without long aging, the finish is well-crafted with balanced cask influence and no overpowering sherry notes.
