When tasted, it has juicy passion fruit and guava with a slightly paper-like grain note, some bitterness, sea breeze, light dashi, and peat with a smoky edge. [Good/Very Good] This Bowmore 2001, 13-year-old was released by Cadenhead in 2014. From the aroma to the flavor, the tropical fruit notes like passion fruit and guava reminiscent of Bowmore from the 1990s onwards were impressively juicy. A slightly paper-like texture is a common characteristic in Bowmore's post-2000 distillates, and this bottle also had a touch of bitterness. However, it was not dominant, with the juicy fruitiness and peatiness taking precedence, making for a delicious experience.
