【Good/Very Good】
This is a relatively recent release, SMWS 17.36, SCAPA 2002, matured for 11 years.
The bourbon barrel nuances feel gentle without being overpowering, with a moderate fruitiness and savory barley flavor that lacks any unpleasantness.
As expected from barrel aging, it feels well-matured even with short maturation. However, there were no green apple notes or woody nuances that often accompany such characteristics. It gave the impression of being aged for a bit longer in a plain barrel.
Personally, I quite like this type.
