Satisfying with a good sherry character. GlenDronach GLENDRONACH 2004-2016 12yo OB HAND-FILLED 58.3% one of 5520 bottles, Sherry Puncheon The aroma expands powerfully with a strong sherry presence, berry and plum jam, raisins, bitter chocolate, herbs, and richness. On the palate, a strong sherry character with berry jam, a touch of grape juice, subtly earthy and muddy notes, a rich sweetness balanced by astringency, with depth and complexity that delivers satisfaction. [Good/Very Good] Hand-filled at GlenDronach Distillery. This 12-year-old 2004 vintage was bottled during the Scottish tour. Despite its intense color, it delivers a classic sherry-matured malt that completely masks the grain character, even at this young age. The overall sherry character dominates, with concentrated fruity notes of berries and plums, raisins, and clear nuances of bitter chocolate and herbs. It also carries the characteristic muddy earthiness typical of GlenDronach, offering a surprisingly complex flavor profile for its age, with depth and satisfying drinkability. This is a fully exceptional sherry-matured GlenDronach, and it's clear why it was selected for hand-filling. #GlenDronach (GLENDRONACH)
