Ledaig LEDAIG 2005-2016 10yo SIGNATORY VINTAGE #900151 57.3%
Bottle #レダイグ(LEDAIG)
This is a very strong aroma, almost slightly overbearing. Ledaig LEDAIG 2005-2016 10yo SIGNATORY VINTAGE #900151 57.3% one of 650 bottles, 1st Fill Sherry Butt The aroma has young sherry, caramel, youthful barley notes, oil and nuts, barbecue meat, a touch of soy sauce, gunpowder smoke, oysters, and strong peat. When tasted, it has viscosity, a strong sweet caramel flavor, astringent bitterness, richness, and sulfuric meaty notes similar to the aroma, with some floating youthful barley notes and strong peat. This is a Ledaig 2005, 10-year-old from the Signatory Cask Strength Collection. Although it is a first-fill sherry butt and seems close to similar specifications bottled for the Maison, it has a rough and miscellaneous flavor with strong sulfur and soy sauce notes. It is meaty and rich, but it's a type I find difficult to enjoy. However, I'm curious about what such strong and scattered characteristics would become after 20 to 30 years, so I'm thinking of buying it if it's not too expensive. #Ledaig (LEDAIG)
