Springbank SPRINGBANK 21yo OB bottled 2017 46%
Bottle #スプリングバンク(SPRINGBANK)
This year's 21-year-old was complex and well-balanced. Springbank SPRINGBANK 21yo OB bottled 2017 46% The aroma is rich and intense, with notes of concentrated berries reminiscent of strawberry jam, sesame, milk chocolate, light caramel sauce, savory molasses, and a rich texture. Upon tasting, it begins with a smooth mouthfeel that expands into a fragrant depth, with the texture slightly penetrating. The sweetness of apricot and berry jams is balanced by a gentle tannin, shell minerals, and a subtle brine and peat from the depths. The finish is long and pleasant. 【Very Good】 This year's official bottling of Springbank 21 Year Old. Working backward, it is believed to have been distilled around 1996. Last year's 21-year-old was bottled at cask strength, with single casks from different regions. However, this year it has returned to the traditional method of dilution and vatting. In terms of content, various elements were noticeable due to the effects of dilution and vatting, allowing for an enjoyable range of aromas. It also had a strawberry jam-like quality reminiscent of good sherried casks, with well-balanced sweetness and tannins, making it a pleasant drink. In terms of drinking satisfaction and interest, last year's bottling was superior. However, in terms of overall completion and drinking experience, this year's version is the better one.
