It had a slightly glassy texture, but the aging was clearly present.
Royal Brackla ROYAL BRACKLA 21yo OB 40%
The aroma had a pleasant aged character, with notes of orange, apricot, black tea, and gentle malt.
When tasted, it was fresher than the aroma, with citrus fruitiness and a strong grassy note, along with a gentle sweetness. The body was on the lighter side.

This is the official bottling of Royal Brackla 21 Year Old currently in circulation.
Like with Orkney and Craigellachie, recently, distilleries owned by Bacardi have been releasing single malts with varying aging periods, including long-aged expressions.
As the industry trend moves towards fewer age statements and more no-age statements, it's refreshing to see Bacardi's commitment to releasing single malts with clear aging information.
Perhaps due to the addition of water, there was a notable aged character in the aroma, with fruitiness taking center stage.
I found the aroma to be more like a Speyside than a Highland whisky.
When tasted, it felt younger than the aroma, with a strong glassy nuance that was somewhat off-putting.
Nevertheless, it has a light body and overall clean aroma, making it suitable for drinking early on.
