Glen Ord 25 Year Old Official Bottling 2004 Fill

Glen Ord GLENORD 25yo OB 58.3% Bottled in 2004
Bottle #グレンオード(GLENORD)
As expected, this is a rich and flavorful whisky with the essence of barley as its base. It's delicious. Glen Ord GLENORD 25yo OB 58.3% Bottled in 2004 The aroma features apricot jam, orange marmalade, plum jam, a rustic and strong barley note, resinous elements, dark tea, subtle tar undertones, good oak influence, and a rich profile. Upon tasting, it expands with a refined complexity, offering a slightly spicy yet viscous texture with the deep sweetness of apricot jam. The tannic woody character adds depth, while the pronounced barley richness lingers with a thick-bodied finish. 【Very Good】 This is the official 25-year-old Glen Ord, a limited bottling from 2004. Calculating backward, it would have been distilled around 1979. The aroma combines the plum-like characteristics typical of this style of whisky with concentrated jammy fruit notes, rustic yet appealing barley nuances, resinous elements, and pleasant oak. It presents a rich, matured fragrance distinct from estery profiles. The taste is as expected—aromatic and viscous, with a jammy depth of sweetness balanced by a pleasant tannic bitterness. The whisky's standout quality lies in its exceptional barley flavor depth. When it comes to official long-aged whiskies like this, I recall buying and drinking the most of the 28-year-old variant, but this 25-year-old shares the same foundational character. These long-aged Glen Ord expressions are particularly appealing for their thickness, complexity, and consistency. This bottle was kindly provided by Main Malt in Kobe Sannomiya.
