On the palate, it begins with a smooth mouthfeel, expanding gently into pleasant sherry notes, with subtle old sherry nuances, berry jam and slight grape characteristics, a gentle sweetness balanced by mild tannins. The finish is smooth yet delicate, with surprisingly long-lasting aftertaste. 【Very Good】 This is an official Glenlivet 25 Year Old with batch number 0910A. The bottle was brought back by a customer from the Ginza area's duty-free shop overseas. Calculating backwards, the main stock would likely date to around 1990 or slightly earlier. Considering the sherry casks used for finishing are recent, I approached this with low expectations but was surprised by its exceptional quality. While lacking the noble nuances of classic expressions, it offers a remarkably diverse and enjoyable sherry cask whisky aroma as described. The palate delivers the smooth texture characteristic of official long-aged whiskies, with the same rich sherry notes as the aroma, while also revealing subtle old sherry nuances that weren't immediately apparent. The gentle sweetness is balanced by a touch of tannin, with a medium-bodied structure that leaves a lingering, delicate aftertaste. Although I've tasted several other 25-year-old Glenlivet bottles with similar labels before, none have had such pronounced sherry characteristics. Comparing to vintage bottlings would be unfair, but as a recent sherry cask expression, this is exceptionally well-made. After some deliberation, I awarded it a Very Good rating for its overall pleasantness.
