GlenGlassaugh 26 Year Old Official Bottling Rare Cask Series

GlenGlassaugh GLENGLASSAUGH 26yo OB RARE CASK SERIES 46%
Bottle #グレングラッサ(GLENGLASSAUGH)
It had a fresh, youthful aroma. GlenGlassaugh GLENGLASSAUGH 26yo OB RARE CASK SERIES 46% The aroma features young plums, citrus, green apple, floral white flowers, vanilla, and a strong malty note reminiscent of bread dough, with a hint of honey. When tasted, it has a smooth mouthfeel, similar to the aroma with citrus and green apple notes, vanilla, a solid young malty and vegetal character, syrupy sweetness, and the taste of barley. The body is slightly light. [Good] This 200ml triple pack from GlenGlassaugh's official bottling includes the 26-year-old, 37-year-old, and 43-year-old expressions. First up is the 26-year-old. We were given the opportunity to taste these bottles by a group of malt enthusiasts from Toyama. At 46%, it seems to be watered down. Despite being aged for 26 years, there is a slightly youthful character centered around the barley. However, from both aroma and flavor, it offers a pleasant variety of fresh fruity and floral notes. Although the body felt lighter than expected for its alcohol content, it was enjoyable to drink. I couldn't help but speculate that this might be a 'taster' bottle, chosen to serve as a contrast for the other two bottles in the set, making it feel younger and more refreshing than its age would suggest.
