I'm in awe of the old sherry cask-matured Glen Grant from this era.
Glen Grant GLENGRANT 30 Year Old GM Distillery Labels 40%
Circulated in the 1970s
Noble old sherry, dripping grape juice, plum, berry jam, violets' floral notes, leather, leaf mold, the woodiness of antique furniture, herbs, old peat, complex and sensuous, intoxicating with a complex array of fruits as rich as the noble sherry, aged woodiness, strong yet refined sweetness, pleasant astringency, sexy, excellent balance, the lingering aftertaste of juice and old peat is long-lasting and intoxicating.
【Very Good/Excellent】
This is a Glen Grant 30 Year Old from GM that circulated in the 1970s.
Similar to the Excellent old Glen Grants I've tasted before, it features a remarkably noble old sherry, grape juice and berry jam, violets-like florals, the aged luster of antique furniture woodiness and earthy leaf mold, supported by a sense of old peat. It was an exciting and thrilling experience to nose this whisky.
When drinking, it maintains the same complexity and sensuality as its aroma, with a wonderful balance of strong yet refined sweetness and astringency. There's absolutely no over-ripeness, and as expected, the content is clearly more concentrated than the alcohol strength alone.
Although I've had more opportunities to taste such exceptional old Glen Grants recently and have grown somewhat accustomed to them, this one still delivers a stunning impact.
This bottle was received as a gift for the 8th anniversary of Walku Hall in Takada, Nakano.
Congratulations!
As a bartender, the master has a unique atmosphere that I personally enjoy. I'll continue to support you, so please keep up the good work.
