Glenord 5 Year Old Official 1970s Circulation

#グレンオード(GLENORD)
An old bottle with excellent condition, giving a strong sense of thickness and depth. Glenord GLENORD 5yo OB 43% Circulated in the 1970s The aroma has a solid old feel without being overly complex, with strong notes of lemon water and matured barley, accompanied by violets, a strong earthy character, and a wet, robust old peat. On the palate, it starts with a smooth mouthfeel and then expands unnaturally, delivering a strong lemon flavor, a barley umami that permeates the entire tongue, gentle sweetness, pleasant acidity, old peat, and a satisfying finish. 【Very Good】 This is an official bottle of Glenord 5 Year Old that was circulated in the 1970s. It is a short-matured bottle, and it's estimated that over 40 years have passed since bottling. Therefore, its condition is quite concerning from a specification standpoint. However, this particular bottle was in good condition. Of course, there is some dryness and a sense of fading, suggesting that it has passed its peak drinking period after bottling. However, the deep and matured barley flavor, along with its umami, seemed to permeate through, and the earthy character and old peat typical of aged spirit were clearly present. Given its short-matured label, it's likely that the complexity wasn't originally very high. However, its earthy and peaty character, along with the gentle sweetness of barley, made a favorable impression. It was a delicious malt that still clearly conveyed the thickness of its original spirit. When I drank the same bottle previously, it was more refined, like a lemon water with strong peat and earthy notes. That was an interesting drink that allowed one to reminisce about past original spirits. This bottle, however, left a more concrete impression of the original spirit's quality, and I found it very enjoyable.
