TULLIBARDINE 5 Year Old Official Bottling Circulated in the 1970s
Bottle #タリバーディン(TULLIBARDINE)
The simple and stylish label was nice, and the contents gave a sense of the house style, which I appreciated.
TULLIBARDINE TULLIBARDINE 5yo OB 40%
Circulated in the 1970s
The aroma has a good old feel, with apricot tea, cinnamon, lohan (a traditional Chinese candy), a rustic barley note, slightly apple pie. On the palate, it has a smooth mouthfeel with some dustiness, apricot tea, cinnamon, old leather, faint tree sap and mint, a gentle sweetness, with a slight tingling aftertaste.
【Good/Very Good】
This is an official bottling of TULLIBARDINE from the 1970s, aged for about 40 years after bottling at 40% ABV. Although it has a strong old character, there were no particularly unpleasant elements other than the slight tingling aftertaste.
Both aroma and flavor show unique nuances like lohan and cinnamon, which are reminiscent of TULLIBARDINE's house style. The rustic barley note typical of old standards was also a pleasant impression.
