The palate is smooth and gentle, with a light but rich honey sweetness, delicate barley umami, and a soft, lingering finish. 【Good/Very Good】 This appears to be Deanston's official 8-year-old bottling from the 1980s. Both aroma and flavor are soft, leaving a gentle impression. As with older official standards, it has a delicate barley umami and a somewhat rich sweetness that was pleasant. There were some youthful planty notes in the aroma, but they weren't bothersome upon drinking, making it a smooth and easy-to-drink type.
