The aroma features citrus, strong cereal notes, wet cardboard, grass, and vanilla. On the palate, it starts with a soft mouthfeel, followed by a gradual stimulation, light sweetness, and strong paper-like and cereal characteristics that linger long with deep barley umami.
【Okay/Good】
This 1980s-circulated Littlemill, an official 8-year-old in a tall bottle, strongly exhibits the unique cereal notes and paper-like qualities also present in later Dampeer bottles. While these elements are personally challenging for me, the depth of grain umami and gentle sweetness typical of old standards left a positive impression.
Though current Littlemill releases occasionally show this distinctive paper-like trait, recent bottlings often mask it with tropical notes. Nevertheless, some may appreciate this bottle's individuality. I obtained this bottle from IAN at Mitsukoshi-mae.
