Upon drinking, it starts with a soft mouthfeel, expanding gently with sweet orange and light honeyed flavors, along with the savory wheat taste. The refined wheat aftertaste is pleasant. 【Good/Very Good】 This Tamnavulin 8 Year Old, believed to be from the 1980s release, is an official bottling. The aroma has a slightly strong old whisky character with citrus and grain notes, along with peat, earthiness, and plant-like qualities, making it quite diverse. Upon tasting, it exhibits the gentle flavor profile typical of official old whiskies, with a solid wheat umami presence. Although from a relatively minor distillery, this official short-aged bottling demonstrated consistent deliciousness. This bottle was obtained from IAN at Mitsukoshi.
