Cardhu 8 Year Old Official 1980s Circulation

Cardhu CARDHU 8yo OB Unknown ABV, 1980s Circulation
Bottle #カーデュ(CARDHU)
There's a sense of nostalgia when it comes to old Cardhu. Cardhu CARDHU 8yo OB Unknown ABV, 1980s Circulation The aroma has a good old feel, with concentrated citrus notes like grapefruit, strong white grapes, earthy tones, a faint peat, and an intoxicating quality. The mouthfeel is soft, with grapefruit pulp, a subtle tropical fruit nuance, and a moist barley sweetness. Unexpectedly strong peat, with syrupy sweetness and good acidity, leaving a lingering fruit and peat finish. [Very Good] This is an official bottle of Cardhu 8 Year Old, believed to have circulated in the 1980s. Although there is no ABV label, as the 12 Year Old was 40%, this might be similar. The aroma is diverse and has a strong fruity character, with grapefruit and its pulp as well as white grapes being strongly present, combined with a good old feel to create an intoxicating experience. When tasted, the same strong fruity notes are present, with a subtle tropical fruit nuance. At the same time, there is a barley sweetness and an old Highland-style peat, making for a rich flavor profile. The balance of sweetness and acidity is good, with an integrated sense of fruit and peat, giving a very positive impression. I have had the 12 Year Old official bottle from around the same time or slightly later, and it left a strong impression with its intense fruity character. So I had high expectations for this 8 Year Old, and it did not disappoint. An intoxicating old official standard. This bottle was kindly provided by IAN from Mitsuco's IAN. #Cardhu (CARDHU)
