MacDuff Official Glen Deveron Labeling, Circulated in the 1980s
Bottle #マクダフ(MACDUFF)
It's reassuring to have a tasting that is largely similar to the previous one.
MacDuff MACDUFF OB 40% Circulated in the 1980s
The aroma has a pleasant old-world feel, with lemon peel and a strong yet slightly dried barley character as the base.
When you drink it, there's a gentle mouthfeel with a textured sweetness of barley that lingers on the tongue, dry orange, and a slightly syrupy, sweet flavor without any particular notes. It leaves a clean finish.
[Good/Very Good]
This MacDuff, labeled as Glen Deveron and circulated in the 1980s, is an official bottling without a vintage date. It's a very good old bottle with its pleasant barley character and savory notes. I think it's delicious no matter when you drink it, and this time was also really good.
Now, actually, I've noticed that my memory at bars has clearly worsened over the past five years. With too many types of drinks and getting a bit drunk, especially with something like this Deveron that I've had many times before, it often happens that I can record it but not remember it.
After writing the article, I checked my own blog and found that I had actually drunk and written about it in July this year.
It's a bit regrettable that I forgot about it after just a few months, but what worries me more is the tasting. If I had written something completely different about another bottle with the same label and from the same period, it would be embarrassing.
When I nervously compared them,... they were largely similar and I felt relieved. (Laughing)
