Glenfiddich GLENFIDDICH OB 43%
1980s Circulation
The aroma has a gentle old-world feel, with concentrated citrus notes such as fresh citron, light peach, white flowers, a light yet composed barley character. Upon drinking, it has a soft mouthfeel, concentrated citrus notes, transparency, gentle barley with umami, refined sweetness and citrus acidity, with a neat image that leaves a clean aftertaste, though not long-lasting. [Good/Very Good]
This is an official bottle of Glenfiddich, believed to be from the 1980s circulation without an age statement.
The aroma has a pleasant old-world feel, with fresh citrus and floral elements, as well as gentle barley notes, giving an overall refreshing and composed impression. It is hard to believe this is a no-age statement standard bottle.
When tasted, it is soft with the same refreshing citrus and barley notes as the aroma, with transparency. However, it also has a good sense of concentration and umami, so the flavor is not light.
Although old bottles that have been aged with water are often thought to deteriorate, this bottle rarely falls short.
It is an outstanding starter that you can drink anytime, and the bottle itself makes you want to keep drinking it, but also makes you eager to continue with the malt.
