Middleton Official Barry Crockett Legacy

Middleton MIDLETON OB BARRY CROCKETT LEGACY 46%
Bottle #アイリッシュ(IRISH)
As expected from a legacy, it was a very fruity Irish whiskey. Middleton MIDLETON OB BARRY CROCKETT LEGACY 46% The aroma has a strong sense of apricot jam, ripe peaches and pears, intense oiliness, cereal notes, vanilla, a solid oak woodiness, rich, with a smooth mouthfeel upon drinking, a textured viscosity, tropical sweetness reminiscent of marmalade and pineapple, oak and tannins, quite oily, with a long, rich aftertaste. [Good/Very Good] This is the official bottle from Middleton, Barry Crockett Legacy. Although there's no vintage notation, it seems to be a collection of specially selected casks by Master Distiller Barry Crockett. The aroma strongly conveys the fruitiness of concentrated apricot jam and ripe peaches, while also clearly expressing the oily characteristics typical of Irish whiskey. There's a cereal-like quality but no paperiness. When tasted, it has a smooth, slick texture with intense tropical fruit sweetness and richness. The nuances of oak accompanied by tannins add depth to the flavor, with a long, oily and rich aftertaste. This malt strongly evokes elements typically found in Irish pure pot still whiskey, with tropical and oily characteristics. Despite being diluted, it provided a satisfying drinking experience. While similar fruity and oily qualities exist, the absence of the paperiness often found in whiskies like Jameson 18 Year Old was a personal positive impression. Compared to the Middleton Very Rare I tasted alongside it, this bottle was clearly more concentrated and rich, though the Very Rare had a more refined and elegant profile. I would place this bottle between the even richer Red Breast and the Middleton Very Rare. This bottle was obtained from Fingal in Kagurazaka.
