There was a slight hint of raw wood, but it's a delicious Speyside malt recently. Glenlivet GLENLIVET OB GUARDIANS' CHAPTER 48.7% The aroma is elegant, with notes of orange, green apple candy, vanilla, good cereal notes, nuts, and a slightly raw oak. Upon drinking, it's slightly spicy with hints of green apple, dark orange, a subtle sweetness of light honey, the umami of barley, and a woody bitterness with a slightly raw edge. The finish is long. [Good] This is a new release from Glenlivet's official line, Guardians' Chapter. It has an elegant and strong aroma with notes of orange, green apple candy, vanilla, good cereal notes, and a slightly new barrel oak nuance. When drinking it, despite the alcohol content, it has a slight spicy sensation and retains the same citrus notes as the aroma, along with a new barrel-like woody bitterness. The honey-like sweetness and barley umami were impressive.
