New Release: Ardbeg Official Auriverde

Ardbeg ARDBEG OB AURIVERDES 49.9%
Bottle #アードベッグ(ARDBEG)
Ardbeg Day, this year's was good too. Ardbeg ARDBEG OB AURIVERDES 49.9% The aroma is strong and floral, with vanilla, orange, light plum, American coffee, chlorine, a sharp cold peat, earthy notes of nuts and root vegetables, the barley is clear. When drinking, there's some stimulation but with a light viscous texture, sweet flavor of orange marmalade, chlorine and vanilla, sharp peat, strong saltiness, umami from barley, long finish. [Good/Very Good] Bottled for this year's Ardbeg Day, Ardbeg Auriverde. It was previously reported that the toasted barrel staves (the flat sides of the cask) produced a flavor reminiscent of mocha coffee. This bottle features a powerful 4.5L gold bottle that entered IAN. Of course, the contents are the same as regular Auriverde.(laughs) By the way, this size was also available at MOR before. The crucial part is the content, which is actually quite delicious. With a strong and floral aroma, adding to the sharp cool peatiness typical of Ardbeg, there's a clear presence of vanilla and citrus, and I found myself searching for (laughs) nuances reminiscent of American coffee. Actually, due to working part-time and training at a specialty coffee shop for several years, I considered myself somewhat of a coffee enthusiast, but I couldn't distinguish between Mocha, Toraja, or Kilimanjaro.(laughs) When drinking, there's a citrusy, marmalade-like sweetness with a strong saltiness and umami from barley. Somehow, the cold nuances of the liquor feel like adding warmth through additional elements, which was more evident when drinking Galileo or Ardboe. This Auriverde feels more natural compared to those, and as an Islay whisky, it seems like a type that doesn't cause fatigue. This bottle was obtained from IAN at MITSUKO. #Ardbeg (ARDBEG)
