New Release: Lagavulin "Kildalton Islay Reserve" BBR for WHISK-E

Lagavulin LAGAVULIN "KILDALTON ISLAY RESERVE" BBR for WHISK-E 46% bottled in 2015
Bottle #ラガヴーリン(LAGAVULIN)
It was a young Islay. Lagavulin LAGAVULIN "KILDALTON ISLAY RESERVE" BBR for WHISK-E 46% bottled in 2015 The aroma has fresh lemon, youthful barley notes, sharp peat, smoke, brine, and a slight alcohol sensation. When drinking, it has youthful barley notes with syrup sweetness, lemon water acidity, and a spicy, piercing peat that lingers long. [Good] This Islay malt was bottled by BBR for WHISK-E under the name Kildalton Islay Reserve. Although not explicitly stated, it is said to be Lagavulin. There's no vintage listed, but despite the dilution, it has a youthful quality with barley and peat notes that pierce through, and I felt a slight alcohol sensation remained, suggesting it might be quite young in maturity. However, as with many peated malts, this one was drinkable despite the slight immaturity. It doesn't have a strong cask influence and is easy to taste even after dilution, making it a good sample for experiencing the character of a young peated malt.
