GLENFARCLAS 10yo OB 40% Circulated in the 1980s
Bottle #グレンファークラス(GLENFARCLAS)
As expected, it had a strong old sherry character. GLENFARCLAS 10yo OB 40% Circulated in the 1980s The aroma featured a strong old sherry, aged caramel, black sugar, mirin or candied fruit, coffee, and sweet-and-sour herbal liqueur. When drinking it, it spread gently with a rustic old sherry character, prunes, caramel sauce sweetness, black sugar sweetness, a gentle tannic note, and an earthy nuance with a sweet aftertaste. 【Good/Very Good】 This is believed to be the official 10-year-old GLENFARCLAS that circulated in the 1980s. It has a strong sherry character with a sense of age, which is rich and full-bodied. However, it also had an impression of being somewhat rustic or unrefined, with a noticeable earthy nuance. Compared to Macallan from the same era, which still retained a noble atmosphere, even though they are both sherried casks from the Speyside region, this is where the most significant difference lies. Both are appealing, and which one is better comes down to personal preference. This bottle had a full-bodied feel that one would not expect from 40%, with a rich sweetness like concentrated fruit juice and a tannic herbal liqueur balance, making it a convincing and delicious Farclas. #GLENFARCLAS
