New Release: Laphroaig "Lp4" Elements of Islay Specialty Drinks

Laphroaig LAPHROAIG THE WHISKY EXCHANGE ELEMENTS OF ISLAY "Lp4" 54.8%
Bottle #ラフロイグ(LAPHROAIG)
The goodness of Laphroaig's refill cask series was felt. Laphroaig LAPHROAIG THE WHISKY EXCHANGE ELEMENTS OF ISLAY "Lp4" 54.8% The aroma has citrus, mild cheese, fish stock and smoke, sea breeze, prosciutto, vanilla, and a strong peat with iodine. Upon drinking, it has a strong attack, the sweetness of apricot jam, slightly concentrated citrus, a rich sweetness and saltiness, with peat that lingers long. [Good/Very Good] The Elements of Islay from Specialty Drinks (Whisky Exchange), Lp4 is the fourth bottling in this series of Laphroaig. The aroma has a different character from the official first-fill bourbon barrel, with a clean citrus and prosciutto-like feel. It also has the strong peat typical of Islay, along with nuances of fish stock and smoked seafood, as well as the scent of the sea. Upon tasting, it has a similar citrus and strong peat as the aroma, along with a slightly sticky and rich sweetness. It has a good body and a long, pleasant finish. It seems that relatively young casks are the main component, but it doesn't feel very young. Personally, I found it good that the charcoal-like aspect of the peat is not as strong compared to the official standard. #Laphroaig (LAPHROAIG)
