New Release: GlenGoyne Official Cask Strength Batch No.002

GlenGoyne GLENGOYNE OB CASK STRENGTH Batch No.002 58.9%
Bottle #グレンゴイン(GLENGOYNE)
It seems that Batch 001 was released without us noticing. GlenGoyne GLENGOYNE OB CASK STRENGTH Batch No.002 58.9% The aroma has recent sherry notes, dry orange, plum and apricot, milk chocolate, strong barley notes, Danish pastry, nuts, raw oak. When drinking, it feels youthful, spicy and stimulating, with ripe orange, berry jam, nuts, a sweet body with raw oak bitterness, and umami from barley. [Good] A new release from GlenGoyne's official line, non-age statement cask strength with batch number 002 noted. It seems Batch 001 was also released without us noticing. The aroma has strong recent sherry notes, with fruitiness from dry orange and apricot, along with youthful barley umami and milk chocolate, nuts. However, the raw oak and its bitterness are quite strong. It feels like a young spirit forcefully combined with sherry and woodiness, lacking cohesion but still enjoyable. The first impression during tasting resembles GlenDronach's non-age statement cask strength, which is also sherry-focused and small batch released, sharing many common points.
