Unlike earlier TUNS with a strong character from long-aged sherry, this one is different in that respect. Nevertheless, considering the TUN series as a representative of non-age statement whiskies, it is a high-level and well-balanced product that skillfully blends casks with various maturation periods. Both the concentrated fruity character of refill sherry and the elegant character of bourbon can be felt, along with a rich, tree sap-like Balvenie personality that is clearly expressed. And it seems these characteristics are blended due to the marriage in a large cask (TUN) before bottling.
