Glenfarclas 12 Year Old Official WHISKYTECA (Jaccone) Bottling from the 1970s

#グレンファークラス(GLENFARCLAS)
I was thrilled by the outstanding sherry notes. Glenfarclas GLENFARCLAS 12yo OB for WHISKYTECA 43% Bottled in the 1970s The aroma is strong, fragrant, and noble, with old sherry, dry orange dusted in bitter chocolate, grape juice-like notes, bouquet garni herbs, good woodiness, leather, a touch of composted leaves, with barley and old peat in the background. Rich, fragrant, noble sherry, jam-like qualities, grape juice, a rich sweetness with pleasant acidity and tannic astringency. As a sherried whisky, it has an excellent balance, thickness, and a long, intoxicating finish. 【Very Good/Excellent】 This is the official bottling of Glenfarclas 12 Year Old, bottled in the 1970s for WHISKYTECA, the famous bar run by Mr. Jaccone. Extremely fragrant and complex, with an enchanting aroma of noble old sherry, accompanied by fruits like grape juice, chocolate, herbs, leather, earthiness, old peat, and good woodiness. It's a nose that makes tasting enjoyable, with all the desired components fully present. When drinking, it's equally fragrant, and surprisingly, the balance of sweetness, acidity, and astringency is superb, leading to an intoxicatingly long finish that allows one to savor a world of sensory delights. Incidentally, on this day, I compared it with the same era's 15 Year Old, as well as other bottles intended for Jaccone: the 21 Year Old and 25 Year Old. While differences in condition cannot be ignored, I found this shortest-matured bottle to be overwhelmingly impressive. This bottle was kindly provided by IAN at Mitsukoshi-Mae. #Glenfarclas (GLENFARCLAS)
